Covana covers

Covana Automatic Hot Tub Covers

Automatic, fully insulated hot tub covers with LED lighting and pull-down privacy screens, made in Canada.

Chapter 01

A cover that opens and closes without lifting

Most people stop using a hot tub because the cover is a chore. A heavy lid has to be lifted off, set down somewhere and lifted back on. An automatic cover removes that step, so the tub is as easy to use on a cold Tuesday night as on a summer Saturday.

Covana covers are automatic. You open and close them rather than wrestle them, which matters if more than one person uses the tub, or if the person who would have lifted the lid is not always home.

They are made in Canada, which is worth knowing if you care where the thing you are putting in your yard was built.

Weather-resistant and fully insulated

An Iowa winter tests a cover harder than anything else on the tub. Covana describes its covers as weather-resistant and fully insulated, which is what you want when the job is keeping heat in the water and snow, rain and leaves out of it.

Better insulation on top works alongside what is under the shell. The heat you keep is heat you do not pay to make again, so a good cover is part of running costs, not just a lid. Our hot tub energy facts page explains how insulation fits into the whole picture.

If you already own a tub, bring in its make and the size of the top and we will talk through whether a Covana cover can go with it.

Chapter 03

LED lighting and pull-down privacy screens

Two details set these apart from a plain lid. The LED lighting turns the cover into part of the yard after dark, and the pull-down privacy screens give you a screen between the tub and the neighbours when you want it.

Customization matters on a new tub too: lighting, audio, cover styles, water features and jet configurations can all be set up when you order. Ask about cover styles when you look at hot tubs, and read about pairing a cover with water care on our water treatment supplies page.

Stop by the showroom to see what is in stock, and ask about financing, layaway, and the military and first responder discount.

Water World is an authorized Maax Spas dealer for Iowa and has served Des Moines from Douglas Ave since 1978.

Bring the tub, bring the questions

If you are replacing a cover, bring the make of your tub and a note of how it sits on the deck or patio. If you are buying a new tub, look at our hot tubs and pre-enjoyed tubs first, then choose the cover to match. Parts such as cover lifters are on our parts page. To talk it through, plan a showroom visit or call (515) 277-6066.
