Hot tub, pool and sauna parts in Des Moines
Filters, pumps, jets, heaters, steps, covers and cover lifters, matched over the counter on Douglas Ave.
Chapter 01
Filters, pumps, jets and heaters
These are the parts that wear, clog or quit first, and they are what the parts bench at Water World is set up for. Filters, pumps, jets and heaters are stocked for hot tubs, pools and saunas.
A tub that runs but stays cool, a pump that is louder than it used to be, a jet that has stopped pushing water: each of those usually points at a specific part. The staff are known for explaining what is going on rather than selling you the biggest replacement, and reviewers say the same thing about the way they troubleshoot over the counter.

Steps, covers and cover lifters
The things around the tub matter as much as the tub. Steps, covers and cover lifters are on the list, and a lifter is often the difference between a cover that gets used every evening and one that gets left off because it is awkward to move.
If the cover itself is the problem, look at the automatic option too. The Covana covers page covers how those work, and the showroom can show you the difference between a cover you lift and one that opens at the push of a button.
And yes, rubber duckies are on the list. They are not a repair, but they are cheerful, and a tub with a duck in it tends to get used.
Chapter 03
Bring the old part, or its label, with you
The surest way to get the right replacement is to bring the old part in. Pumps, filters and jets look alike across brands and models, and a part that is nearly the same often does not fit.
If the old part is stuck in the tub or too heavy to carry, bring the label or data plate from it, or a clear photo of it and of the tub it came out of. That gives the staff something to match against, and it saves a second trip.
Ask about a part you are not sure of before you buy it. Water World is a dealer for Maax Spas, American Whirlpool and Vita Spa, which means the people behind the counter see those tubs every day.
Parts are sold at the showroom at 3619 Douglas Ave, Des Moines. Bring the old part or its label, and walk-ins are welcome Tuesday to Saturday.
Parts are half of keeping a tub happy
The other half is the water. See the water treatment supplies the shop stocks, or look over the hot tubs if the old one is past fixing. Questions about a part go to Water World on (515) 277-6066, or you can request a call back.
