Pre-enjoyed hot tubs
Pre-enjoyed hot tubs in Des Moines
Traded-in spas, fully restored, typically about half the cost of a comparable new model.
Chapter 01
What a trade-in is
A pre-enjoyed tub is a spa that came back to Water World as a trade-in for something new. Rather than let it go, the shop restores it fully and puts it on the floor for someone else.
The sizes cover the same ground as new: from a two-person tub up to six or eight people, with energy-saving models, therapy-focused models and luxury ones among them. Which ones are on hand changes as trade-ins arrive, so call or stop in to see what is ready now.

What fully restored should mean to you
Fully restored is the shop's phrase for the work done before a tub is sold. Ask the staff what that covered on the specific tub in front of you, and ask to see the parts that matter to you: the shell, the cabinet, the cover and the controls.
Buying used from a dealer who stands behind the tub is a different thing from buying one off a driveway. You can come back to the same showroom with questions after it is installed.
Chapter 03
Seeing new models, real colours and brochure photos
Typically a pre-enjoyed tub costs about half as much as a comparable new model, and the showroom lets you check that comparison with your own eyes.
Water World keeps similar new models on the floor, along with actual shell and cabinet colours and brochure photos. Look at the new tub, then at the restored one, and decide what the difference is worth to you. If you land on new, the new hot tubs page lists the Maax, American Whirlpool and Vita Spa lines.
Water World has restored and sold trade-in tubs from 3619 Douglas Ave since 1978. Walk-ins are welcome Tuesday to Saturday, or call (515) 277-6066.
“We went with a refurbished tub and they got to work for us. Once completed it was delivered and set up. We even made a few mistakes as first time users that Gena & her team were there to help us out with.”
