New hot tubs
New hot tubs in Des Moines
Maax, American Whirlpool and Vita Spa, from a snug two-seater to a big tub for parties. Delivered, levelled and connected.
Chapter 01
The Maax line, and how its tubs are built
Water World is the authorized Maax Spas dealer for Iowa, with American Whirlpool and Vita Spa on the floor beside it. Maax builds a thick, self-supporting shell, so the tub is not held together by a spray-foam structure. Most American Whirlpool and Vita Spa models add a steel frame under the cabinet.
Insulation is Thermolock, which traps the heat coming off the pump motors instead of letting it leave through the cabinet. When you compare dealers, ask each one to show you where the frame is, what the insulation covers and how the cabinet comes off for service. About 20 systems are on display here, so you can look at the answers instead of reading about them.

Sizing a tub by sitting in it
The range runs from a snug two-seater to a big tub for parties. Most people choose well when they picture an ordinary evening, who is in the water and how long they stay, rather than the largest crowd they can imagine.
Take your time on the showroom floor. Sit in the seats, notice where your shoulders and knees meet the jets, and think about where the tub will live at home: which way the cover lifts, how you walk to it in January, what the neighbours can see. Customization covers lighting, audio, cover styles, water features and jet configurations, so ask which of those belong to the tub you like.
Chapter 03
Delivered, levelled and ready for use
Delivery and installation come with every tub: levelled, connected properly to utilities and ready for use.
Financing and layaway are available, and there is a military and first responder discount on hot tubs, with restrictions, so mention it when you come in. If a new tub is more than you planned for, the restored ones on the pre-enjoyed page are worth a look, and a Covana cover or the energy facts page will tell you how the tub behaves once it is running.
Water World has sold hot tubs from 3619 Douglas Ave since 1978. Walk-ins are welcome Tuesday to Saturday, or call (515) 277-6066.
